You will architect, design, implement, maintain and administer our Citrix infrastructure, in addition to managing and administering Microsoft Exchange and O365 applications/systems that drive our business needs. You will also provide system, application and integration support to other departments to help achieve goals as requested by the business. Ultimately, you will be the technical subject matter expert on both cloud and on-premise Microsoft systems and will apply your functional knowledge and technical expertise to promote innovative solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, administrate and support Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop and Citrix PVS (provisioning) in the infrastructure environment
- Design, manage and support Exchange-based messaging systems in a hybrid configuration
- Act as subject matter expert for Exchange / Microsoft Office 365 / Cloud platform
- Maintain and support the Microsoft Exchange Online environment and other O365 affiliated services such as:
- Exchange 2010/2016 On-Premise and Office 365 Exchange Online
- Azure, AD connect and federation services
- Enterprise application, OneDrive, Teams, Skype for Business, SharePoint, Active Sync administration
- Monitor Office 365 service health, removal of user accounts and management of service requests
- Monitor the Exchange Database through consistency checks, setting free space thresholds and performance tuning
- Supply post application integration within the department as well as the business community
- Support Microsoft Windows; 2008R2, 2016 and 2012R2
- Gather and assess business requirements, develop and present solutions, and produce designs and migrating strategy
- Troubleshoot incidents, determine the root cause and find and implement solutions with documentation and preventive measures
- Collaborate with other infrastructure, networking, help desk, applications and business teams
- Research new technology that can improve business processes and add value to the company
Additional responsibilities include:
- Supporting VMware 6.x / 7.x environments
- Configuring and maintaining F5 GTM/LTM
- Assisting call center technicians and systems engineering team on tier-3 issues
- Assisting in the development, implementation and testing of disaster avoidance and recovery
- Documenting network infrastructures
- Acting as a liaison between business leaders and systems engineers/call center
In your first six months, you will:
- Have full understanding and control of the infrastructure (Citrix and Exchange environment)
- Be able to document the environment
In your first year, you will:
- Have a complete handle over our systems infrastructure
- Improve the key application within your area(s) of responsibility
- Solely be able to make upgrades and enhancements to the systems
- Receive cross-training within the team
What You Bring to the Team:
- 5+ years of systems design and architecture experience, to include experience with:
- Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/Storefront 6.x/7.x
- Citrix NetScaler, Citrix Cloud bridge
- Exchange 2010/2016 / Exchange online hybrid environment
- Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, MS Teams/Skype for Business, Office 365 Groups, Flow, PowerApps and Power BI)
- VMware, Windows Systems and network technologies
- Advanced Active Directory administration, Azure, Group Policy and DNS
- Microsoft SQL; 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016
- Experience with F5 or any load balancers
- Power Shell
- Fiber channel or managing enterprise storage arrays
- Backup/replication technologies (Commvault Backup and Recovery)
- Windows patching and server security hardening
- Basic networking/SAN, preferably with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to interact with users of varying technical skill levels
- The ability to work independently and without the need for supervision, as well as collaboratively within the team and across various IT groups and business units
