Our client is seeking a motivated
Electrical Engineer
in Chicago.

You will have at least 4 - 5 years of design experience and will be responsible for the hardware development of products including UPS, PDU, KVM and charging stations.
The skills required for this position are:
- Analog and digital circuit design.
- Perform design activities including schematic capture, design constraint creation, PCB layout oversight and collaboration.
- Author technical documents, test requirements, reports and diagrams to support new development efforts and maintain existing products.
- Familiarity with EMC and safety agency requirements for UL, CSA, IEC and FCC certification of new products.
- Analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues and bring projects to completion.
- Highly motivated to learn with the flexibility to adapt to fast-changing technologies and environments.
- Multidisciplinary collaboration with peers to co-develop designs and facilitate improved results.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with test equipment (scopes, spectrum analyzers, etc).
The skills preferred for this position are:
- Analog design experience including OpAmp based amplifiers and filters.
- Experience designing with and debugging interfaces such as USB, I2C, SPI, and Ethernet.
- Microcontroller or DSP based development experience with ARM, MIPS, TI or Microchip.
- Experience designing half bridge and full bridge converters with power ratings between 100 and 10,000 watts.
- Experience specifying/developing transformers and magnetic components for power applications.
Education:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
